Key 1 - Circulation
Good circulation in your pool is much more than filtering water - it will move all the water in the tank and through the filter.
Traffic is more as a filter or pump sales, the elimination of dead spots - you know the areas in which always seems to grow algae or where the dirt and debris always seems to accumulate. The better the water circulates, the better the filtration, the cleaner pool. In fact, usually takes more than fourturnovers to get all of the water completely filtered. The following chart shows how much of your pool water is typically filtered in a normal filter turnover. Turnovers are normally determined by "how much" water can go through the filter system - not what is actually filtered. One turnover can take anywhere from 3 hours to 8 hours depending on the pool's size and the filter size & pump horsepower.
After 1 turnover - 42% is filtered, 52% is UN-filtered
After 2 turnovers - 84% is filtered, filtered 16% in UN
Is filtered after 3 sales - amounts to 95%, 5% filtered UN
After 4 Sales - 98% is filtered, filtered 2% UN
Why is it taking so much time and effort? Above all, it is because of blind spots. Dead spots are areas of the pool where the water can not move completely or distribute. Dead spots are the "birth of reasons" for algae and bio-films which are in green or murky water. These are the most common areas would be "dead spots":
* In the bottom halfthe pool, especially in pools without main drains or
* Corners of the rectangular basin
* The "exact" center of nearly every page and most of the oval pool - especially above ground pools
* Behind ladders and / or stairs
* Areas, return immediately next to the pool skimmer & Furniture
* A combination of all of the above
Let us briefly look at each of these areas, and a cure for the dead on the spot.
The entire lower half of the pool is really a place neglected. ManyPool owners, unfortunately, as the water lapping at the upper edge of the pool to see which way the filter. Assign the return jets or eyeballs "to" downward rather than downwards. When pointed upward, only the top 1 / 3 or so spread over the pool. The lower 2 / 3 remains relatively stagnant, especially the further down you go. The cure: make the returns down to the bottom of the pool. This will contribute to improved top-down flow of water. Another option is to hook you & your vacuumJust let it sit in the bottom of the pool for a day, once per week.
Corners of the rectangular pools are notorious for dead spots. You can see where leaves and a range caught. Down at the pool walls at the corners and you will see where algae gets its edge. The cure: make sure you thoroughly brush the corners on a regular basis. Once or twice a week should be a minimum.
Round or oval pools, does not mean that you are not dead spots. Aboutthe years we have seen, round and oval pools with cloudy Center! Really, we have. The reason that the "outstanding" water goes round and round and the center remains stagnant. Overtime, especially in pools that is not regularly receive minimal or swimming, a water column of up to - something very similar in the eye of a hurricane. Lot's of activities around the eye, the eye is peaceful and quiet! The cure: Make sure you turn on the pool furniture back down toward the bottom and laterally. You will then receiveoverall better blood circulation.
The areas behind ladders and drop, especially in the kind of staircase receive little or no traffic. No bodies brush against the pool surface. Algae and bacteria are allowed to grow unchecked. The cure: Make sure you properly and thoroughly brush and vacuum these areas. Movable or removable stairs should be removed from the pool and cleaned at regular intervals, the pool surfaces. Here are the weekly algaecide be a good addition is important - read more under the waterChemistry position. When you remove a protective mat, and clean that too. Perform these cleaning at least once in the middle of each season.
The several inches to your pool's skimmer and return fittings are large, large dead spots. It can be a lot of water or near the activity around them, but in the immediate vicinity ... no. The cure: to give particular attention to these areas, brush and vacuum. Also brush, vacuum and clean the faceplate of such equipment.
All of the above! Are dead spotsalways in combination. Here are the best cure for low pool & Transportation dead spots. And most of the ideas will not even cost you a penny!
* Use the pool. Swimming, paddling, play. Do laps. Invite some friends to discuss something fun. The regular use of your pool is always the best thing you can do to give him a better blood flow.
* Brush and vacuum. It is like brushing and flossing teeth. You know that you do it. Brushing the pool walls at least once a week (preferably twice) prevents algae &Bio-films from roots and setting a real headache in a very short time. For some "uber-brush" Wall Whale hold a brush. You receive up to 10 times the force of the brushes with the effort of a hand.
* Be sure to show the eyeballs & return nozzle downward. They want to see any waves on the water. You want traffic in the pool. Consider installing a thermostat instead of the normal eye - up to 1500% better circulation in your pool. Awesome newproduct.
* Run the filter a minimum of 8 hours daily. Every day. To save money & electricity, use a timer to turn the pump on & off and use multiple settings to spread out the time to catch some of those "off-peak" electrical hours.
